9/14/2007- PARALLEL UNIVERSES, PARALLEL LIVES:
The BBC has made a film about E and his father, noted physicist Hugh Everett III, entitled PARALLEL UNIVERSES, PARALLEL LIVES. The film follows E on a journey to learn and understand more about his father during the fiftieth anniversary of Hugh Everett's Many Worlds theory. Stay tuned for air date information.
9/10/2007- HE LIVES!:
EELS leader E made his first public appearance in nearly a year at Sunday night's Lucinda Williams show at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. E joined Lucinda, sometimes EELS drummer Butch, and all around EELS handyman The Chet for Lucinda's "Fancy Funeral," as well as "Sixteen Tons" and "Railroad Man."
7/31/2007- NEW WHO DOCUMENTARY FILM DVD -- LINER NOTES BY E:

7/23/2007- MARK OLIVER EVERETT WRITES BOOK:
Where have Mr. E and the EELS gone? There hasn't been a single sighting since the conclusion of the 2006 LIVE AND IN PERSON world tour and the few stray appearances soon after. We're not getting a lot of info here at the EELStheband.com offices, but we do have this enticing new bit of news: EELS leader Mark Oliver Everett has written a book about his life, to be published in 2008. That's all we know so far. Stay tuned for more news as it comes.

The Shrek The Third soundtrack CD featuring the new EELS track "Royal Pain" as well as EELS' "Losing Streak" is released today, now available HERE. The film opens in U.S. theaters this Friday, May 18th.

4/16/2007- EELS THE THIRD:
Hear the new "Royal Pain" by EELS in "Shrek The Third," opening in U.S. theaters May 18th. "Royal Pain" and EELS' "Losing Streak" will both be on the Shrek The Third soundtrack album CD, coming out May 15th in the U.S. and Canada, May 14th in the rest of the world. This marks EELS' third appearance in their odd and enduring relationship with Mr. Shrek. The CD also features songs by The Ramones, Led Zeppelin and Paul McCartney.
